Sonasoft Inc. unveiled Thursday its new SonaSafe Point-Click Recovery for file systems, a new data protection management console designed to simplify, automate and eliminate human error in the backup and recovery process for Windows servers.

SonaSafe Point-Click Recovery offers protection down to the image level backup. Its Bare Metal Recovery and Open File Backup/Recovery capabilities enable business operations to continue with minimal interruption. The new application also enables rapid recovery of files to the point of failure or go back to a point-in-time and recover data quickly.

Sonsaoft said the new software improves productivity through "Point-Click" recovery and reduces storage costs through compression. It also permits IT professionals to manage backup and recovery remotely on multiple servers running Windows NT, 2000, 2003 and XP versions.

List pricing for the application is $1,995; agent sofiware is $995. Sonasoft said both pieces of software are shipping now.
