A new product release features a tool that extracts relational facts found in text-based information and organizes it into structured output for analytics applications and data warehouses.
A firm that specializes in unstructured data applications released a software suite that's designed to tap unstructured content and fuse it with existing structured data.
Attensity's new release, called Attensity Application Suite, will target companies trying to get a handle on the business information contained in e-mails, field reports, customer surveys, service records, warranty claims, news feeds and similar sources of data.
Attensity tailored the software for customers in the automotive, durable goods, technology, hospitality, government intelligence, law enforcement and defense industries. The suite includes "Knowledge Libraries" that provide a basis for categorizing and normalizing data for specific vertical markets. Users can also select applications that focus on specific business areas such as warranty or customer care.
At the core of the new release is Attensity Server, which extracts relational facts found in text-based information and organizes it into structured output for analytics applications and data warehouses. The upgraded application includes support for an output standard to support ad hoc queries. It also features improved integration with ETL tools, Attensity said.
Another element of the new software is Attensity Discover, an information investigation technology that's designed to uncover patterns and relationships in text-based information and view it in context with structured data. The tool can find either information that exists explicitly in datasets or derived information that isn't explicit.
The new release starts at $50,000, the company said.
