QuickTake

DecisionPoint recently announced the availability of release 11 of its financial performance management suite. This upgrade provides organizations with deeper integration with PeopleSoft and SAP applications, along with integration with Microsoft Excel and Linux operating system support. Ventana Research believes that the ERP integrated financial information management approach by DecisionPoint is unique in the market. This approach provides a centralized source of financial information that can be used for compliance and other financial process-related initiatives and is an alternative to more costly approaches from other ERP providers that require upgrades to underlying financial systems to really leverage their value. Organizations considering DecisionPoint will still need to pursue other solution providers for statutory consolidations to fulfill the complete financial performance management solution (example: Cartesis, Cognos, Hyperion and others for budgeting and planning).
