Fair Isaac, a maker of analytical applications for the financial services industry, joined forces with one of the major credit-reporting agencies to launch a service that provides customer data to credit lenders.

Fair Isaac and Experian announced the data delivery service, called ActiView, on Tuesday. It combines Fair Isaac's Triad account and customer management technology with Experian's Notification Services, a "triggering" tool that updates lenders on consumers' credit behavior.

When customer accounts experience certain changes, such as entering delinquency, the new service is designed to prompt lenders to take subsequent action. Users managing customer accounts in Triad can carry out account-related activities such as altering the terms of individuals' credit lines.

The firms' partnership will add capability to Experian's Notification Services by letting lenders access customer information on segments of their portfolio, including individual accounts, when they're making credit decisions.
