The U.S.-based unit of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software maker Intentia International has picked David Rode, a business intelligence industry veteran, as its new CEO.

Rode joins Intentia Americas from BI software maker Information Builders, where he was vice president of international operations. He replaces Linus Parker, who will remain with Intentia Americas in a "senior role," the company said. The company credited Parker with developing markets for Intentia's Java-based ERP products within the manufacturing and distribution industries.

Intentia selected Rode in part for his experience from within the software and apparel industries, as well as his international management experience.
