Enterprise information integration (EII) provider MetaMatrix announced this week that it has signed a technology partnership with business intelligence (BI) leader Business Objects. Under the terms of the agreement, MetaMatrix will join the Business Objects Technology Partner Program, a worldwide program designed to help complementary software and hardware providers reach broader markets, lower their business costs, and take their products to market faster. The two companies will also engage in joint sales and marketing activities.

Effective immediately, MetaMatrix can provide organizations using Business Objects tools with on-demand access to information integrated from disparate sources including data warehouses, ERP and CRM applications, legacy systems, and XML and ODBC-based data sources. With its library of connectors to packaged applications and data sources including SAP R/3, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Siebel, MetaMatrix co-exists with Business Objects Data Integrator, helping to provide information access across disparate data silos. MetaMatrix can also provide Business Objects customers with comprehensive metadata management capabilities.
