Panorama Software, a maker of business intelligence solutions for the Microsoft platform, has announced the beta release of Panorama 4.5, the company's flagship BI solution.

Panorama 4.5 supports both SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 and includes enhancements and new functionalities that enable businesses to implement comprehensive, high performance BI solutions faster and more cost effectively.

Among the enhancements: the new dashboard provides "Live Updates" enabling businesses to automatically push near real-time dynamic content to decision makers; better alert and notification capabilities directly inside a scrolling ticker bar; support formatrix regions and 3D charting for building production reports

"Through this latest offering, Panorama continues the tradition of enhancing and extending the Microsoft SQL Server BI platform," stated Bill Baker, general manager for SQL Server Business Intelligence at Microsoft Corp, in a press release.

Panorama 4.5 will be generally available in April 2005.
