A Federal Court jury in California has found that Google did not violate Oracle's Java patents when it created Android.
This was the second of 3 trial phases. In the first, the jury found that Google infringed Oracle's copyrighted Java APIs.
But the defeat is a devastating one for Oracle, which has little prospect now of obtaining significant damages against Google.
