WOWD is a new search engine that made its debut at Web 2.0 Summit this week. Mark Drummond, WOWD's CEO provided an explanation and demonstration on stage. (Video included.)You can watch the demonstration in this video below.

Drummond made the claim that today's search engines are not good discovery tools. WOWD provides a new layer of information (the actual experience of its users, which is all based on users downloading the browser application and becoming part of the "WOWD cloud." The contents of the search results changes dynamically and in real time based on the interests of its community. You can also immediately share your results via Facebook and Twitter.

Every result is fresh (measured in minutes). And because it uses the power of a user application, there are no servers or crawlers required. The architecture is distributed among the WOWD users.
