3Com Corp. is adding two 802.11b access points to its line of 11-Mbps wireless LAN devices. The AP 2000 and AP 8000 are aimed at cost-and security-conscious businesses. Cahners In-Stat Group analyst Gemma Paulo says the devices hold their own against competing products from Cisco Systems and Enterasys Networks Inc.
