Singapore Airlines said Thursday that it has finalized its arrangements to bring broadband to its international flights and that it will feed live television through the in-flight broadband service.

The airline said it has signed a final contract to add Connexion by Boeing service and that the service will launch in the first quarter of next year on the Singapore to London route. Later in the year, it will add live television delivered via the Connexion connection.

Pricing will be about $30 for long-haul flights and about $20 for medium-haul flights. On shorter flights, Connexion offers metered pricing starting at $7.95. While Connexion, a division of Boeing, has agreements with a number of international airlines, only Lufthansa has launched the service so far.
