At the intersection of two red-hot technologies-the Apple iPad and mobile business intelligence-lie a range of choices: build your own traditional enterprise BI apps; build a web-based BI app; or pluck one from the App Store. Here's a link to a blog post that focuses on the third option and describes six BI products for the iPad from the App Store.Over at SmartDataCollective.com, Doug Lautzenheiser offers up these six choices for companies looking to give their mobile workforces access to essential data and information over the new and wildly popular iPad:
1) QlikView for iPad HD: "QlikTech has done a great job implementing QlikView on the iPad . . . ."
2) iTop: from Targit, was originally written for the iPhone.
3) Roambi Visualizer: from Mellmo, this app can "take data from files or other BI tools and present it visually on the iPad," the article says.
In addition to those three, Lautzenheiser cites three more vendors that should soon be rolling out additional BI tools for the iPad: Sketch Reports, which shows Microsoft reports on the iPad; Muchbetter, which shows SAP and Salesforce.com data; and Leapfactor, which shows corporate KPIs and financial statements.
You can view Lautzenheiser's whole post, with links to many of those products, here.
