Audible, Inc. today announced that the Creative MuVo TX, MuVo TX FM, MuVo Micro, and MuVo Slim portable digital audio players are now compatible with the Audible Internet audio service.

Users of these players will be offered one free month of AudibleListener, an Audible membership plan that offers about $50 worth of audio programming online. They'll also be able to choose between PremiumListener, a package of any two audiobooks from Audible's collection of 6,000 titles (regularly $21.95), or BasicListener, one audiobook and one 1-month subscription (regularly $14.95) from Audible's Subscription Center.

All Creative MuVo TX, MuVo TX FM, MuVo Micro, and MuVo Slim players are 'field upgradeable,' meaning that users of these devices who go to www.audible.com/software and install the free AudibleManager desktop software can install a firmware upgrade that enables storage and playback of Audible's valuable audio programs.

The MuVo 256MB devices can store and play more than 30 hours of Audible's audio files in Audible Format 3, while the MuVo 512MB devices have the capacity to store and play more than 60 hours of Audible audio. The MuVo Micro 1 GB device can store and play back more than 125 hours of Audible's downloadable audiobooks and other spoken word audio programs.
