Paramount and EarthLink are going where no one has before in the ISP universe. They've teamed to form StarTrek.net, a Star Trek-themed service that offers Trekkies Internet access, a StarTrek .net E-mail address, themed software, customized goodies for the desktop, and access to exclusive Star Trek content.
No promise yet of a transporter service or warp-speed capabilities, but an EarthLink spokesman says the ISP may attract "a Federation of loyal customers."
