BenQ Monitors Receive Vista LogoBenQ Monitors Receive Vista Logo
Two of BenQ's monitors receive the "Works with Windows Vista" logo. About 1,000 partners are expected to have their products get that certification.
BenQ unveiled three new monitors, two of which already received the Works with Windows Vista logo.
The two LCD flat-panel monitors, FP93GX+ and FP93GS, are the first in the industry to receive the logo, which means they passed a test for reliability, stability, security, and proper installation with the upcoming Windows Vista operating system, according to a release from BenQ.
The specifications for the Works with Windows Vista logo and the Certified for Windows Vista logo are the same as they were for Windows XP, a spokeswoman for Microsoft said. The specifications include a minimum of 32 bits per pixel and various graphics memory requirements.
The Works with Windows Vista logo ensures the product will work smoothly with the Vista operating system, though it doesn't guarantee the "full Vista experience." The certification logo means the product has been shown to fully take advantage of the new features in Vista.
About 1,000 partners are expected to have their products receive Vista logos, the spokeswoman said.
The two monitors are expected to ship in December; the third monitor, the FP241VW, is due out later this month.
