More than 15 companies are taking on Monster.com and HotJobs.com with their own online job board. DirectEmployers .com, to be unveiled this week, is backed by IBM, Intel, Lockheed Martin, Nestlé, and others. It will be run by the newly formed E-Recruiting Association, a not-for-profit organization of human-resources execs from the participating companies. DirectEmployers says it will give job seekers better access to employers by offering direct links to companies' recruiting Web sites.
