Blue Martini Software Inc.'s third-quarter revenue dipped, but it's keeping losses in check. The vendor, which makes software to help companies target and interact with customers and partners across multiple channels, ended the its third-quarter 2001 on Sept. 30 with $11.3 million in revenue and a loss of $15 million, including charges. Though revenue was down from the $21 million it recorded in the same quarter last year, the company's net loss is an improvement over the $16.6 million it lost in the third quarter a year earlier. Monte Zweben, president and CEO, says that with cash and investments of $105 million on hand, Blue Martini (BLUE--Nasdaq) is positioned to grow when the economy recovers.
