The Boeing Co. has named Pamela Drew the VP of engineering and IT for the company's Phantom Works advanced research and development division. The appointment results from a reorganization of the division.

Boeing has consolidated two groups in the Phantom Works division--engineering technology and math and computing technology--into the engineering and IT organization. Drew, whojoined Boeing in 1996, was previously CIO and director of math and computing technology for Phantom Works.

In her new role, Drew is expected to lead the recently formed organization in providing Boeing business units with technologies that allow them to run more efficient operations and develop competitive products for the aviation and defense industries.
