Cingular Wireless said Wednesday that its BroadbandConnect service is built into new Dell Latitude D620 and D820 notebook computers, paving the way for users to implement high-speed wireless data without an outboard modem or PC Card.

Cingular Wireless, owned by AT&T and BellSouth, said unlimited BroadbandConnect service is available for $59.99 a month for subscribers who have certain Cingular voice contracts. Cingular also announced it will offer international plans later this year – one to cover Mexico and Canada; the other for overseas markets.

In another wireless development, Verizon Wireless said availability for its BroadbandAccess high speed EV-DO service will be available on selected Dell Latitude, Lenovo, and HP Compaq notebook computers. The service is available for subscribers with a $39.99 monthly voice plan coupled with $59.99 for data access
