The British Library in London has published an online edition of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Catalog of Works."
The British Library in London on Thursday published an online edition of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Catalog of Works" that includes digital versions of 30 pages from the priceless original.
Users can browse Mozart's handwritten pages and listen to short introductions from 75 of the eighteenth century composer's works, among them opening bars of a number of "lost" works, including "Little March in D," which was recorded for the first time for the online exhibit.
The original "Verzeichnss aller meiner Werke," which was given to the Library in 1986, features details of 145 works written by Mozart from February 1784 until his death in December 1791. It, too, went on display Thursday.
To view the online edition, users must install Adobe's Shockwave Player plug-in to their browser.
The catalog can be accessed from the Library's Web site here.
