Portal software vendor BroadVision Inc. saw its revenue plummet in the fourth quarter but still managed to trim its losses.

For the quarter ending Dec. 31, BroadVision posted a loss of $10 million, or 31 cents per share, compared with a loss of $55.3 million, or $1.75 per share, in the fourth quarter of 2001.

Revenue for the quarter fell to $28.8 million, down 41.2% from $48.9 million in the same quarter last year. Software license revenue was $11.2 million, down from $21 million year over year, while services brought in $17.5 million, down from $27.9 million a year ago.
