Internet store Buy.com on Monday said it would sell its in-stock books for 10 percent less than Amazon.com through the end of year.

The promotion is in addition to the shipping offered at no charge for book orders of more than $25, the Aliso Viejo, Calif., company said. While the promotion runs through December, the company is considering making the pricing permanent.

"We are looking at making this promotion a permanent fixture at Buy.com," Neel Grover, president of the company said in a statement.

Buy.com offers more than 2 million products, including books, music CDs, consumer electronics, toys and sporting goods.
