Cape Clear Software Inc. plans to upgrade its Web-services tools this month. Aiming for ease of use, its environment for building Java-based Web services is modeled along the familiar lines of a Visual Basic rapid application development environment. Giga Information Group analyst John Meyer says Cape Clear's tools are easy-to-use, but the software lacks the sophisticated back-end integration capabilities of some competitors.
