Computer Sciences Corp. said Friday that it has agreed to acquire Datatrac Information Services, a Native American- and women-owned provider of technology services to the federal government.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

CSC officials said the acquisition will help the company bolsters its presence in the market for identify management products and services related to homeland security, which has been a growth industry since 9/11. In August, Datatrac won a contract from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to operate immigrant contact centers within the United States.

Datatrac employs more than 1,800 staffers in seven states. Its operations will be integrated into CSC's enforcement, security, and intelligence division, CSC said. CSC said the acquisition will contribute positively to earnings.

Separately, CSC said Thursday that it had won a five-year, $44 million contract to provide engineering services to NASA. Under the deal, CSC will provide project management assistance, software and electrical systems engineering, mechanical systems maintenance, and other services at the space agency's Wallops Flight Facility in eastern Virginia.
