IT-starved small businesses need all the help they can get, and Dell Computer wants to be that helping hand. Dell on Monday unveiled a program to help small businesses purchase, install, and manage computer networks with the assistance of on-site experts.

Dell-vetted technicians will assess a small company's network needs and install the hardware, from switches and servers to desktops and peripherals. After the fact, companies can sign up for a new online training package.

Network-design fees start at $199, and the E-training package, which covers more than 340 applications and is aimed at firms with no IT staff-is priced at $99 annually.
