E.piphany Inc. faced one-time charges that added to its third-quarter loss. Nevertheless, analysts say the E-customer-relationship management software vendor is in a good position to grow when the economy improves. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, E.piphany's (EPNY--Nasdaq) revenue was $28.5 million, compared with $39.1 million in the same quarter last year; net loss, including one-time charges, was $1.98 billion vs. a third-quarter 2000 loss of $277.3 million. But analysts say a 2002 rollout of its newest marketing-automation package, E.6, should help it gain strength in the marketing-automation space.
