On the strength of a robust IT outsourcing business, EDS (EDS-NYSE) increased revenue 12% in 2001 and 13% in the fourth quarter. The company's net income last year rose 19% to $1.36 billion on $21.54 billion in revenue.

For the quarter, the company's net income was $405 million on $5.9 billion in revenue. EDS's biggest soft spot is its A.T. Kearney management-consulting unit, which accounts for about 5%, or roughly $1 billion, of its revenue. The unit had a 12% decline in fourth-quarter revenue.
