I knew it was coming, but didnt expect it to hit today: Apple has released Mac OS X 10.5.1, the first update to Leopard. The update contains both general fixes and security fixes. However, the documentation that Apple shows for this update is very short. Im sure that there are many other fixes under the covers.

On first blush, the update (which I installed and am running on a MacBook Pro) appears to have solved a few of the stability issues. You should download and install this update immediately on all machines running Leopard. However, be sure to do thorough testing before deploying Leopard throughout your business. The bugs in the original 10.5 release were so numerous that they could have a definite impact on employee productivity.

Ill write more about the 10.5.1 update in a few days, once Ive had a chance to work with it more.
