A new service will let cell phone users find public restrooms from their handsets. The service is called...wait for it...MizPee. When you're done laughing and can pick yourself up off the floor, please continue reading...As the saying goes, When ya gotta go, ya gotta go. But what are you to do if you're in unfamiliar surroundings and don't know the whereabouts of the closest loo? Fear no more.
Yojo Mobile, a start-up from San Francisco, has released a new Internet-based application that will help those in need find a public restroom in 16 cities. Not only can you use it to find restrooms, but also to get important details about what services the restrooms offer, such as diaper-changing stations or handicapped access. All you need do is enter an address or intersection and the listings will provide directions and ratings for each restroom.
The service is ad-supported from businesses located in the search area. MizPee will attempt to offer the same toilet-targeting service via SMS sometime in 2008.
