Former FCC chairman Michael Powell is joining the board of directors of ObjectVideo Inc., a video surveillance software firm.

Former FCC chairman Michael Powell is joining the board of directors of ObjectVideo Inc., a video surveillance software firm.

Announced this week, the move is Powell’s first company directorship since he left the FCC in March. Previously he had formed his own consulting firm, the MK Powell Group.

ObjectVideo’s surveillance products are being used by U.S. Marines in Falluja, Iraq, and were recently used to demonstrate a $212 million security system under development by Lockheed Martin Corp.
