If you want a Nexus One, the only place to order it is directly through Google. Since Google is the entity selling it, it stands to reason that Google would back it up with some tech support -- only it's not doing a very good job of it.
Google has indicated that it will respond to user queries -- which must be submitted via email -- within one to two days. thats way too long.
Some have turned to T-Mobile (which provides the cellular service for the device) for support, but they're not getting it there, either. User Roland78 complained that he was transferred back and forth between T-Mobile and HTC in what was a 90-minute call. He said, "T-Mobile also said Google hasn't provided them with any support documents for the phone. Welcome to direct sales Google!"
People are also upset about the price of the device. The device can be purchased contract free for a full retil price of $529. New T-Mobile customers can snag one for just $179 with a two-year contract. What's the problem? Well, existing T-Mobile customers who want to upgrade to the Nexus One have to fork over $279 -- $100 more than new customers do. WHy T-Mobile has chosen that pricing is a mystery, but its customers aren't happy about it.
