Anyone remember Buzz? Google's social location and sharing service got a bit of an upgrade today in the form of a new XHTML web address that works with BlackBerry OS, Symbian S60, and Windows Mobile. Now more people can buzz about Buzz from their phones.When Google first launched Buzz, it created an HTML5 app for the iPhone and Android devices running version 2.0 and up. Google even went so far as to create a Buzz widget for Android, which lets Android users post messages right from the home screen of their phone. Most other smartphone platforms were restricted to using Buzz from within the confines of Google Maps. Not fair, right?

Well, Google hopes users of Android versions 1.1, 1.5 and 1.6, along with BlackBerry OS, S60 and Windows Mobile will be happy with today's news. It has introduced a new XHTML version of Buzz that can be accessed from the browsers of these platforms.

In order to access it, users of those devices must go to buzz.google.com from their handset. From there, users will be able to post Buzz, view their Buzz stream, send private Buzz notes, comment on friends' Buzz and like others' posts. Google says that BlackBerry users will be able to integrate location information via their browser, too. This means BlackBerry users will be able to see Buzz that's been posted from others nearby, as well as tag their own location.

Of course, all this is only excited if BlackBerry, S60 and WinMo users are actually sill interacting with Buzz and posting to it...
