Google Inc. stock finished nearly flat on Thursday, the same day the search engine giant launched its second stock offering since its initial public offering a year ago.

The Mountain View, Calif., stock ended the day at $302.62 a share, down 38 cents, or 0.13 percent, on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. The company on Wednesday made nearly 14.2 million shares available in the second offering, setting the price at $295 a share.

Goggle launched its IPO in August 2004 with 19.6 million shares, which were priced at $85 a share. The second offering was expected to raise at least $4.18 billion
