HBO and Apple have announced that HBO's top television shows, including Sex and the City and The Sopranos, are available through the iTunes Store.

The companies said Tuesday that Sex and the City fans can watch any or all 94 episodes from all six of the show's seasons. Individual episodes will sell for $1.99.

The Wire and Flight of the Conchords are available for the same price. The Sopranos, Deadwood, and Rome cost $2.99 per episode. The shows are available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany. They can be viewed on Macs, PCs, iPods nanos with video, iPod classics, iPod touches, fifth generation iPods, iPhones, and Apple TV.

The iTunes Store claims the top spot as the most popular online TV store, boasting more than 150 million episodes sold and a catalogue of 800 shows with 20,000 episodes.

Eddy Cue, VP of iTunes, said the latest shows are "some of the most talked about television shows ever, as well as some of the most requested by our customers" and Apple is thrilled to offer them. The deal positions HBO to promote the Sex and the City movie and show simultaneously. Henry McGee, president of HBO Video, said viewers can catch up on Sex and the City before the May 30 movie release.

HBO's Web site asks viewers: "Don't remember where Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda left off? Get a refresher with a Sex and the City Flashback." It also offers a link to iTunes for fans' favorite episodes.
