During a recent test flight on a Boeing 737 being used to perfect the company's Connexion high-speed, real-time Internet service, a Boeing exec realized he'd have little time to make a connecting Alaska Airlines flight. To save precious minutes, he was able to log on to Alaska Air's Web site using Connexion and print out a boarding pass.

Alaska Air is among 17 carriers working with Boeing on Connexion. Lufthansa plans passenger trials around year's end.
