Known for creative thinking and innovation, MIT students and faculty know their buildings not by names but by numbers, such as Building 10. Voyant Technologies is taking a different tack: The voice-conferencing company hopes that naming meeting rooms after legendary achievers will inspire its staff.

Its Michelangelo conference room is near marketing; the games room is dubbed Disney; and the fitness room bears Charles Atlas' name. The idea came from quality-assurance developer Scott Muller when Voyant was moving to a new building. Muller also submitted the roster of all 12 leaders.
