IBM this week is expected to debut technology, known as enterprise information integration software, that provides a way to integrate data from multiple heterogeneous sources even if IBM's DB2 database isn't one of them. The software, being tested now, will round out the DB2 line, which includes the database and IBM's content-manager software. Last week, Sagent Technology jumped into the market with its new OpenLink software.
