LaCie's Little Big Disk Quadra line of portable hard drives now includes a 1TB model. The Little Big Disk Quadras are bus-powered and come with two FireWire ports, one eSATA port, and one USB 2.0 port. The enclosure contains two 2.5-inch 5400 RPM drives in a RAID 0 configuration, meaning data is spread across both disks for increased speed. The aluminum case serves as a heat sink, meaning the drive doesn't need a fan. It measures 1.6 x 3.3 x 5.5 inches and weighs just 1.4 pounds.
?The Little Big Disk is suitable for multiple in-the-field applications," claimed Arnaud Prezelin, Lacie Product Manager for Creative Pro solutions. The drive will be available next month for $699.Wired, The Inquirer
