Sub300.com, a company that specializes in Linux-based products and open source software, has announced the Ultralite Laptop, which the company claims is the world's lightest to be designed to run the Linux-based Linspire operating system.
The notebook computer costs only $799.99 and weighs just 2.9 lbs. It sports a 1Ghz VIA processor, 256MB RAM, 40 Gig HD, Ethernet connectivity and a 12.1" TFT display, USB 2.0 support and PCMCIA slots.
