Microsoft is going to spend the next 12 weeks touring its Dynamics CRM customer relationship management system and giving participants to sign up for a trial of the online version, CRM Live. The tour will visit 22 cities in the U.S. as well as a smattering of partner locations. The Dynamics CRM software comes in 3 varieties for on-site server use: Workgroup Server, for up to 5 users, and Professional Server, for unlimited users, are both for single tenants; the third edition, Enterprise Server, supports multiple users and tenants. All three versions run on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2.

Of particular interest to small business with limited IT resources, though, might be the hosted version, CRM Live, which allows them to get up and running quickly and then stick with it as a permanent deployment option or start with CRM Live and then graduate to an on-premise solution, according to Frank Falcone, CRM product manager with Microsoft Canada. Participants in one of the tour stops will be able to sign up to evaluate CRM Live through March 31, 2008.eChannelLine
