If you're still using a smartphone that's running Windows Mobile 6.0: 1.) What the heck is wrong with you? and 2.) You can't upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.5. Buy a new phone already...or at least check to see if you can upgrade to Windows Mobile 6.1.
If you're using a smartphone that's running Windows Mobile 6.1, you have have a few options.
According to Microsoft, a very small handful of devices will be able to update from WinMo 6.1 to WinMo 6.5. That small list includes the HTC Dash, Snap/Ozone and Touch Pro2; the Samsung Jack, Omnia and Epix; and the Pharos Traveler.
If you're using one of those devices, score! But be prepared to wait. the system updates need to be provided by the wireless network operator that sold you the device. So, if you're running an HTC Ozone on Verizon Wireless's network, for example, you have to wait until Verizon Wireless pushes makes the update available. Neither Microsoft nor any of its carrier partners have given any sort of an indication as to when that will happen.
So, yeah, good news, but not great news.
