Having trouble sorting all of the information in your In Box? Oasys Software's Mail Manager, which is designed to help individuals manage such data, now provides them with a way to capture screen data.Oasys Software announced Mail Manager 5.2, which features a screen grab tool and support for Windows Mobile devices. The product's Snap 'n' Send tool enables users to type text directly onto a screen grab; mark up images with text, arrows, circles, or squares; copy screenshots directly to a clipboard; export screen shots to PDF files; save images; paste images directly from email; and retain a library of screen grabs for future reference.
The mail management features have been extended to Microsoft's Windows Mobile users. Here, its offline capabilities enable users to organize and file emails while traveling and finding themselves beyond the nearest network connection. The system includes an automatic synchronization feature that kicks in once they are reconnected.
Oasys Software has carved out a niche by developing add on applications. Its Mail Manager system has been popular in messaging intense industries, such as law. While potentially beneficial, the product has some limitations. It is designed to work with Microsoft's Outlook email client. Recently, businesses have been moving away from such tools to Web based mail systems. The cost is $195 per user, which for a small or medium business may be difficult to justify. In sum, companies that rely heavily on Outlook may want to take a look at the product and see if it could increase user productivity.
