Jobfox, an online job board, has launched a feature that matches job candidates with employers who have openings that suit the candidates.

The feature, called Jobfox Intros, provides job-seekers with a virtual "foot in the door," so they can network with employers and obtain interviews.

"With Jobfox Intros, high-match job seekers are immediately moved to the top of the resumé stack," Rob McGovern, CEO of Jobfox, said in a statement. "Rather than submitting resumés into a black hole, qualified candidates are personally introduced by Jobfox, so they can skip directly to the interviewing step. Candidates want connections with highly matched employers, not just long lists of undifferentiated jobs. Jobfox is the only site that gives them this capability."

A Jobfox Intros team monitors "5-Star" matches and speeds up introductions through e-mail and text messaging services.

Job seekers can monitor and compare their most compatible job matches through a Mutual Suitability System, request employer introductions and check the status of the requests, track and answer employers' introduction requests, and discover new career opportunities while blocking current employers and specific organizations. The site also provides "interview prep sheets" and company links to employers that have accepted introductions.

Employers can build social networks based on talent by adding top prospects to "My Jobfox Connections," which provides updated contact and career information for candidates. The system allows employers to develop long-term relationships for future staffing while also helping fill immediate openings. Employers can allow candidates to view customized information highlighting their benefits.

The new Jobfox features are free for job seekers and available to employers through subscriptions.

Brian Sommer, CEO of TechVentive and Vital Analysis, said in a statement that Jobfox has merged "the human element found in employment agencies and staffing firms" with the technology of its automated matching solution.
