I was surfing around the Web looking for some information about Google when I stumbled across Google's Mobile Enterprise play. That's right, Google has a mobile service designed specifically for the enterprise. Who knew? This Google Mobile enterprise service is a part of Google OneBox for the Enterprise and the Google Search Appliance, designed specifically to give secure access to corporate searche on mobile devices.

And get this. Not only does Google have a mobile enterprise play, they're partnered with Motorola. Google and Motorola apparently announced last summer, but the deal hasn't recevied much fanfare since.

The Google, Motorola service works with the the Motorola Moto Q, HC700 series of ruggedized handhelds, and "other devices." Current enterprise users already on the Google Search Appliance can download the mobile extension for their phones.

What has happened with this service since launch? Have any of you adopted it at your company? If so, how does it work?
