Oracle this week released a new version of its JDeveloper tool that complies with the newest Java platform standards.

JDeveloper 9.0.3 supports Java 2 Enterprise Edition 1.3 standards for writing Web apps that use Java application servers, including the latest industry-standard technology for Enterprise Java Beans, Servlets, JavaServer Pages, and the J2EE container.

The new version of JDeveloper, Oracle's primary Java development tool, replaces an older version that shipped in Oracle's 9i Developer Suite in May. The new product includes a graphical user interface to the popular open-source development tools Jakarta Struts, Apache Ant, JUnit, and CVS. Version 9.0.3 is priced at $995 per named user.
