The 15th edition of Oracle CRM On Demand will incorporate new "social CRM" features as well as the ability to be used from mobile devices. The software is the latest revision of the product Oracle acquired when it purchased Siebel Systems in 2005. The new edition has a browser-based interface and can be modified to run on BlackBerrys and other mobile devices. New collaboration features aimed at what the company calls "social CRM" include Sticky Notes and a Message Center with an RSS feed, so that team members can easily notify each other of changes to a customer's information. "What we're trying to do is make it more social and collaborative so content from Internet and intranet can be pushed into the app and pushed to the user," said Anthony Lye, senior vice president of CRM On Demand.

"It's all part of selling productivity," Lye continued. "I think we've built something that really is quite an achievement in usability."CNET News, SearchCRM.com
