Despite many travelers' recent concerns about flying, Orbitz LLC, the online travel site founded five months ago by American, Continental, Delta, Northwest, and United airlines, set new highs for Web-site traffic and sales in October. About 6.3 million unique users visited the site last month, up from 4 million in September and 5.9 million in August. Further, Orbitz says its gross travel bookings and sales transactions hit an all-time high for the week ended Nov. 4.
