Trying to better manage its customers' supply-chain and logistics operations, Penske Logistics has inked a $1.5 million contract with supply-chain-planning software vendor SynQuest Inc. The software will help Penske Logistics do more for its customers than just manage their trucks, company president Vince Hartnett says.
Penske is one of a handful of third-party logistics companies gearing up to manage businesses' entire logistics and supply-chain operations.
