Robert Pittman, AOL Time Warner's chief operating officer, says the Internet is holding up well during the recession. "The march to making the Internet a part of people's lives is unstopped," he said in his keynote at Internet World last week.

Two-thirds of U.S. households are linked to the Web, but the real revolution is just starting, Pittman says. "Now that we have critical mass, what do we do with it?" he asks. The Web's future, he says, is in bringing value to consumers by making broadband a staple in the home.
