As we approach the end of the year, IT organizations are focused on budgets and initiatives for 2017. What will be the big priorities? What changes will need to happen to the technology stack? What new skills will be needed in-house? Are there systems that need to head into the sunset?

The same is true for data initiatives within IT organizations and enterprises. Huge shifts are underway following the influx and promise of big data. There are huge volumes of new data sets, a number of which are unstructured.

Many companies have leveraged this data to create more nuanced, valuable views of customers and ways to engage with them. Companies have also leveraged this data to improve their operations, improve product quality, and weigh opportunity against risk.

The use-cases for leveraging more data, especially as organizations contemplate roadmaps for digital transformation, are growing. Sure, there are companies that have already climbed aboard by ingesting and creating value from crowdsourced customer ratings and data -- Netflix, LinkedIn, and Zillow, for example.

Yet other companies, such as JLL and PRGX, are in the process of transforming older technology stacks and processes to embrace the changes -- and to get an edge on disruptive competitors.

To achieve those goals, organizations have to set the strategy and plan. With that in mind, we are asking our readers about their priorities for their data and analytics practices in 2017.

Please take our Flash Poll below and tell us your priorities. Don't see your plan in the answers? Let us know about them in the comment section.
